The City of Marshfield's communications plan sets forth a collaborative and proactive approach to foster effective communications for the City of Marshfield. The City will consistently and clearly communicate public information to citizens via several platforms in order to improve communication to our stakeholders.

The City is dedicated to meeting the needs of our community and enhancing the quality of life by being open and transparent at all times. In order to increase the understanding of residents concerns, ideas and values, the City's Communications Department will take the lead to engage and communicate public information out to the residents.

The City’s overall success will be shaped by its communication efforts. Therefore, a proactive approach is needed to foster effective two-way communication. The City of Marshfield will achieve these goals by consistently providing current, accurate and concise information to the community regarding City services local issues and events. We will foster an engaging environment with our community by soliciting and proactively implementing feedback we receive from constituents.   The City will create external awareness of these goals to the public in a number of ways by using all media platforms when possible.

The Communications Department also oversees the public access channels (Marshfield Media Access on cable channel 989, 990 and the City Channel 991.
