Description :

The purpose of the Police Officer is to provide residents and visitors of the City of Marshfield with the highest level of protection and service through the enforcement of municipal, state, and federal laws.

Position Requirements:

Education Required: 
Must have a minimum of 60 college credits and graduated from recruit academy prior to offer to hire. 
Knowledge/Skills Required:  Ability to pass all tests including; written, scenario based, physical/annual job function test, psychological, and a thorough background investigation.  Must pass an annual firearms evaluation and biannual emergency vehicle operations course.
Other:  US Citizen; Minimum age – 18; No felony or domestic abuse convictions
Pay & Benefits:  $55,411 (Starting).   The City offers a full benefits package including health/vision, dental, long term disability, flexible spending accounts, 457 Deferred Compensation Plan, and WRS retirement plan. 
Prospective officers with previous full-time law enforcement experience who are currently certified or certifiable may be hired at pay rates and vacation above that of starting officers.
