Wild Wednesday Programs

Visit Wildwood Station on Wednesdays this summer for a series of free, ed-zoo-cational programs brought to you by Wildwood Zoo! Each program features a different presenter and topic-pick your favorite or join us fWildwood Stationor them all! These are hosted indoors at Wildwood Station, which is located at 1800 S. Roddis Avenue, Marshfield. Programs start promptly at 11:00 and 1:00 and last approximately 45 minutes each.

Marshfield Monarchs
June 16th-Marshfield Monarchs
Come join us as we kick off Wild Wednesdays with our first program of the summer! You will learn all about Monarch butterflies, conservation, and how you can make a difference in the pollinator population.  

June 23rd-Colossal Fossils
Travel back in time with us and learn about our planet and the creatures that have called it home throughout its 4.6 billion year history! You won't want to miss this opportunity!  

June 30th-Wildlife in Need
Are you interested in becoming a wildlife warrior? Then this is the program for you! You will have the chance to meet animal ambassadors, explore their stories and natural history, and learn how you can help wildlife around you!
July 14th-Remarkable Reptiles
Join James Gerholdt and his team of scaled friends for a chance to explore the amazing world of reptiles-snakes and lizards and turtles-Oh My!
River Valley Raptors

Meet the feathered team and human friends at River Valley Raptors and learn all about birds of prey, conservation, and how you can make a difference!

July 28th-Wisconsin Honey Queen
What's all the buzz about? The Wisconsin Honey Queen, of course!  Don't miss this opportunity to learn all about the importance of pollinators and the wild world of beekeeping.

August 4th-North Lakeland Discovery Center
Explore the incredible adaptations of all the animals that come out at night- ones that fly and ones that crawl- you will also meet a live big brown bat up close!
David Stokes
August 11th-Laughing with the Animals
Through the use of songs, stories, movement, riddles, audio/visual and hands-on materials, David Stokes brings the animal kingdom to life!  

August 18th
-Insect Ambassadors
The UW-Madison team is ready to bring you an interactive program filled with facts about some of the most important animals around-insects! Learn about these powerhouses and have the chance to meet real insects!
